The tide continues to turn in our favor regarding CA sick leave laws. This, specifically, was the result of filing claims with the city of San Diego regarding their own city ordinance providing "protected" sick leave similar to Labor Code 233(Kincare). The company has posted this memo at the SAN station in addition to emailing SAN members. We have won this battle(unjust allotment methods), but the war continues. They have failed to address the previous wrongs to our members, including termination, due to their misapplication of these laws and we will continue to assist everyone in filing claims to ensure our rights are fully restored in our workplace.
