A Dallas Native and proud Texan, Amye received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. She later received a Master of Business Administration degree in human resources from the University of Dallas. While working for Verizon Telecommunications as the Attendance and Leave Specialist, Amye gained her first experience working with a union and realized there was a special bond of brotherhood that exists between union members.
In her first few months with TWU Local 555 she has had the opportunity to satisfy her desire to assist people in difficult situations through effective communication and dedicated follow-through. Amye attributes her success in career and personal life to having a set of values and beliefs that govern the way she lives, moves, and interacts with others.
On a more personal note, Amye enjoys volunteering, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. She has a Chinese Pug named Seesol and spends a lot of time involved in church and civic activities through Cherry Valley Church of Christ and Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She enjoys many outdoor activities including softball, hiking, and any other fun activity with good friends and family.
